Couples For Christ

Couples for Christ is a dynamic, English speaking, charismatic prayer group.  They meet every Thursday evening for dinner, community, song and worship, and a presentation or class.  All are always welcome to participate, whether a married couple, or a single adult - interested in prayer and Christian community.

Rosary Prayer Group

Every Sunday at 3 PM, our Rosary Prayer Group meets.  Normally the meeting is held at the grotto, or shrine to Mary.  Though, sometimes the group meets in the homes of members.  The rosary is prayed, but also songs are sung, testimonies of faith are given, and the large group prays for the needs of the community.

Charismatic Prayer Group

Every Friday evening, after Mass, the Spanish Charismatic Prayer group meets in the Church.  The group prays for the needs of their members and the larger Church community, gives testimonies, sings, praises the Lord in many different ways.  It is a lively, and Spirit filled form of worship, to which many in the community of Our Lady of Guadalupe are drawn.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights fulfill several important functions for the Church community.  Aside from the Christian life they share with one another, they raise money for the Church through barbecues, and food sales on various Sundays throughout the year.  They make themselves available to meet various needs of the Church - such as serving as volunteers at parish functions, maintaining or repairing the physical plant, and helping to care for those in need. 

Bible Study group

The Bible Study group is concerned with reading and learning from the Scriptures.  This group is fairly new, but eager to develop a program through which they will learn more about their faith in the Lord Jesus.

Young Adult group

This is a fledgling group, formed to meet the needs of faith and community among the Catholic, Spanish speaking young adults of Immokalee; in particular among the young men who are the poorer migrant laborers from Guatemala and Mexico.  Please pray for the success of this group!
